Crestline Arts District encourages community collaboration and creative experiences:

  • Presenting seasonal festivals, gallery walks, live performances, and outdoor pop-ups suited to mountain settings

  • Promoting local artists and makers through exhibitions, workshops, and open-studio events

  • Partnering with neighborhood businesses to create art-driven activations, window displays, and hospitality experiences

Beginning Photography Workshop

with David Cabrera

Wednesdays • 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Interactive Photography Workshop Series

Learn how to take beautiful photographs with confidence — whether you’re using a professional camera, a simple point-and-shoot, or just your iPhone.

This beginner-friendly workshop will explore:

  • Composition

  • Perspective

  • Lighting

  • Value & contrast

  • Framing

  • Storytelling through photography

  • Understanding natural light & golden hour

  • Capturing mood and atmosphere

  • Editing basics & visual awareness

No expensive camera required.

Students will also be encouraged to participate in optional outdoor photography practice and creative exploration between classes, along with occasional interactive weekend photo sessions.

Drop-In Class: $30
4-Week Workshop Series: $100 for 4 weeks for the month

Plein-air Outdoor Art Contest

Join the community for a summer series of outdoor painting events celebrating the beauty, culture, and atmosphere of Crestline and the San Bernardino Mountains.

Event Dates:

  • Last Saturday of May 30

  • Last Saturday of June 27

  • Last Saturday of July 26

Finale Event:

  • Last Saturday & Sunday of August 29/30
    Two-Day Plein Air Art Competition & Community Exhibition

Open to all ages and experience levels.

All painting media welcome:
Oil • Acrylic • Watercolor • Ink • Pastel • Mixed Media

Entry Fee:
$10 per canvas entry

Canvas stamping required for competition entry.

Canvas and beginner art kits may be available for purchase while supplies last.

Holiday in the Pines with a Dickens Flair, An Interactive Creative Event open to the public.

Come enjoy a Dickens Flair as Crestline celebrates “Holiday in the Pines,” a Crestline Chamber event where the Crestline Arts District brings

the Holiday magic on the first Saturday after Thanksgiving.

Visitors, locals, artists, musicians, and carolers are invited to dress in Dickens, steampunk, or western-inspired style and celebrate the holiday spirit together.

Enjoy interactive art, holiday events, art demonstrations, live music, costume fun, and the announcement of art contest winners.
